Le Thoronet and Troyes

The abbey church of Le Thoronet (c. 1160 AC) may be the most perfect "hall" of the world (in which I even slept during one starry night in July 1993!).
Here you find NO ARBITRARINESS, but only pure perfection, calmness, and absolute (infinite) SPACE... - and that's why this is the only place in the material world where I really feel at home (and where I can absolutely chill out from this noisy, abritrary, and rather distorted world full of insensitive and brute primitive idiots...)...

Although being quite small (visually), this church and "hall" has an EXTREMELY big "acoustic signature": when you hear this architecture (with a reverberation time of ~ 8 seconds), you really feel like being surrounded by a giant (starry) universe and space... In fact, this church is the "vastest hall" I know here on planet Earth...

Unfortunately, I do not know the (anonymous) architect of this material perfection.
But ONLY the achievement of a similar perfection and beauty in one's brain (i.e., as a perfect map-maker) would perhaps even surmount this (material) perfection...

The only other place in this world where I really feel "at home" is the old medieval city of Troyes (Aube, France). When walking through this city, I am constantly surrounded by thousands of years of dense history, and especially: of more than four hundred years (1210-1692 & 19th to 21st c.) of beautiful stained glass windows in the medieval churches all-around in this city...

And there you have now my "heaven" and "ultimate paradise" [1]: walking through a forest (with old beech trees and a crystal-clear river) together with (my!) perfectly educated map-makers, and finding this perfect church (Le Thoronet) together with another, smaller one aside (equipped with beautiful stained-glass of the 13th & 16th century all-around)... To me, all this means "heaven" (and sadly enough, only exists in my lonely brain so far [2]....).

(For beautiful high resolution images see my account o.p.elbs on [3] ).
